The Physician serves as a healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The work involves moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variables.

The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include keeping medical histories and records, referring patients to specialists as needed, and influencing departmental strategy. The role involves making decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, often working independently with considerable latitude in setting objectives and approaches.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to standards of care
• Monitor care quality through data and chart reviews
• Coordinate patient services
• Participate actively in care team discussions and daily huddles
• Support a professional, approachable practice environment
• Complete medical records promptly, working with coding specialists
• Adhere to policies and protocols set by Clinical Leadership
• Meet regularly with the Regional Medical Director to review care quality and policies
• Contribute to growth opportunities within the Center
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards

Qualifications

• Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine (preferred)
• Active and unrestricted DEA license
• Medicare Provider Number
• Two to five years of relevant experience (preferred)
• Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels and understanding of coordinated care in a value-based environment
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and HEDIS quality indicators
