VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, Delaware. The NP works under physician supervision to provide ambulatory care in a correctional setting alongside security officers.

At least 1 year correctional experience desired but not required, or at least 3 years NP experience in a non-correctional environment. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, HSAs, life and disability insurance, and annual incentive

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program and licensed in the state.
• At least 1 year correctional experience desired or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Nurse Practitioner Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus. The NP/PA works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician. The NP/PA has no managerial responsibilities.

Nurse Practitioner Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college/university NP or PA program
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in this state
• At least 1 year Experience in Correctional desired but not required or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment
• Acute care experience preferred
