Job Description: Outpatient Physician (Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Geriatrics)

Location: Lafayette, LA

Salary: $295k-325k + Bonus + incentive +Sign on bonus + relocation

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate outpatient physician who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services in our outpatient clinic, focusing on a value-based care model to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness promotion, and treatment options.
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient encounters and ensure continuity of care.

Opportunity Details:

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-5pm
  • Dedicated administrative time to complete documentation, participate in meetings, and engage in professional development.
  • Manage a manageable patient panel, seeing approximately 10-15 patients per day to ensure quality care and ample time for patient interaction.
  • Full support staff including Medical Assistants (MAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Midlevel support to streamline patient care processes.
  • Access to on-site laboratory and radiology services to facilitate timely diagnostics and treatment planning.
  • Participate in telephone call coverage, with the call schedule shared among physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary, ranging approximately from $290,000 to $325,000 annually.
  • Opportunity to earn a 20% bonus incentive based on performance metrics and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
  • Active Texas medical license prior to starting employment.
  • Active DEA license for prescribing medications.
  • Strong commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting wellness.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
