UBMD Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a Family Planning Patient Coordinator in Buffalo, NY. This full-time, onsite role supports abortion-related care, manages patient intake, counseling, scheduling, and coordination of procedures with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications include experience in abortion care, a preferred doula certification, EMR proficiency, and a commitment to reproductive justice for diverse communities in Western New York.

Qualificações

• Experience working in abortion care provision or with people seeking abortions preferred.
• Current doula certification preferred.
• Experience with practice management systems and electronic medical records.
• Commitment to reproductive justice and expanding options in WNY.
• Understanding of how racial injustice intersects with reproductive justice.
• Queer-positive and inclusive approach.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining open team communication.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Respect for confidentiality and sensitive information.
• Own a cell phone for Hover Mobile calls; laptop provided.

Responsabilidades

• Triage and manage Family Planning Mobile Line for timely care.
• Provide initial intake and counseling on abortion options.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate surgical procedures.
• Educate patients and obtain informed consent for abortions.
• Help remove barriers to care (transport, lodging, time off).
• Coordinate referrals and maintain community resources.
• Communicate with team and referring providers to improve outcomes.
• Participate in administrative and clinical meetings.
