Job summary

Marathon Health in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a board-certified or eligible physician to join our Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. You will provide patient-centered primary care to employees at Marathon Health Centers, with a smaller patient panel and longer visit times.

This role offers non-production-based compensation, comprehensive benefits, CME, license, DEA, malpractice coverage, and collaboration within a team dedicated to preventive and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatrics.
• Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify required; Active state license required; DEA preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date; dispensing license may be required per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at Marathon Health Centers within an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model.
• Maintain a smaller patient panel and devote sufficient time to each visit to optimize care and patient relationships.
• Collaborate with care teams to deliver high-quality preventive and chronic care in a value-based care setting.
