Job summary

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community in Baraga, MI is seeking a Family Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care across the lifespan, including preventive, chronic, acute, and wellness services, in a patient-centered, culturally responsive setting.

This full-time, on-site role collaborates with behavioral health, pharmacy, and specialty services and supports quality improvement and population health initiatives within tribal healthcare and community wellness.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical licensure
• DEA registration or eligibility
• Commitment to patient-centered, culturally responsive care

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Family Physician role located in Baraga, MI. The Family Physician will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across the lifespan; deliver preventive, chronic disease, acute, and wellness care; practice evidence-based medicine in a patient-centered environment; and collaborate closely with behavioral health, pharmacy, and specialty services. The role also participates in quality improvement and population health initiatives and supports the mission of Tribal healthcare and community wellness.
