Job summary

Clarvida in Bangor, Maine is seeking a Family Peer Support Specialist to work with families navigating mental health services. You will draw on lived experience to provide guidance, encouragement, and recovery-oriented support.

This full-time, on-site role offers hourly pay of $18–$20, comprehensive benefits, and supervision within a Behavioral Health Home team to support client outcomes and your professional growth. Flexibility in scheduling and DailyPay are also available.

Qualifications

• Must meet CIPSS certification preference or be willing to obtain CIPSS within nine months.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Household member has received mental health services and is in recovery.
• Willingness to self-identify appropriately with clients to support growth.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing (Maine).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support to families receiving mental health services.
• Share lived experience to promote hope, engagement, and recovery.
• Support families in managing mental health diagnoses and service systems.
• Assist with navigating peer relationships and life transitions.
• Build supportive peer relationships grounded in mutual respect.
• Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Home team.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
