Andwell Health Partners in Maine seeks a Behavioral Health Homes (BHH) Family Support Specialist to help families navigate child behavioral health services with compassion and lived experience.

You will collaborate with care teams, build natural supports, document accurately, and participate in team meetings. The role is hybrid, Monday–Friday, with no weekends, and focuses on supporting children and families.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Lived experience as a family member of someone who has received services for a mental health diagnosis and willingness to self-identify in this role.
  • Current Maine OCFS Family Support Specialist certification preferred, or willingness to complete required CORE training and obtain certification within 9 months.
  • Strong communication, organization, advocacy, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with families through peer support.
  • Share your lived experience to inspire hope and recovery.
  • Help families navigate behavioral health services and community resources.
  • Collaborate with care teams to support children and families.
  • Assist families in developing natural support systems.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
