Job summary

HopeLink Behavioral Health in Loudoun County, VA seeks a part-time Peer Partner to support families with children and youth facing behavioral health challenges. You will coach families through systems, connect with resources, and promote resilience in a confidential, empathetic setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with ICCs, Wraparound services, and family engagement, with occasional telehealth options and flexible hours. Prior relevant experience and bilingual skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be the current or former parent or primary caregiver of a child with emotional or behavioral health challenges.
• Experience navigating Virginia behavioral health systems with a child.
• HS diploma or GED; certification as a Peer Support Specialist or Wraparound Facilitator a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is HIGH NEED.
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn EHR software and handle confidential information.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to connect with diverse families.
• Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a peer partner and coach to families navigating behavioral health systems.
• Collaborate with team coordinators and ICCs to provide Wraparound or team-based care.
• Model effective presentation of ideas in team meetings and advocate for youth voice.
• Help families discover strengths and resources; promote resilience.
• Build trust with parents through confidential, respectful, nonjudgmental support.
• Assist families in understanding diagnoses, treatment, and services.
• Encourage ongoing hope and use of family/community supports.
• Connect families with support groups and other resources.
