Job summary

Center for Human Development, Inc. (CHD) in La Grande, OR is hiring a full-time Family Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager with shared lived experience.

You will support families raising a child with emotional, behavioral, mental health, or developmental challenges, serving as a trusted partner on the care team. Role emphasizes engagement, informed decision-making, and partnership with families and professionals, including navigation of services and attendance at meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of lived mental health system navigation experience.
• Must be able to schedule evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must pass criminal history and drug screening per Oregon regulations.
• Must complete 40-hour Peer Delivered Services training and register as THW Family Support Partner.

Responsibilities

• Engage with parents to promote engagement in strength-based problem solving.
• Attend child and family team meetings to ensure voice and choice.
• Help families access housing, services, and resources and assist with forms.
• Build constructive relationships and maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Maintain punctual in-person attendance.
