Job summary

Philadelphia Family Voices seeks a CRC Family Peer Specialist to support families navigating the Philadelphia Children’s Response Center. This non-exempt, part-time role requires delivering information, resources, and peer support to families and caregivers during and after CRC visits.

You will work under the Field Supervisor, with a 35-hour workweek and occasional evenings or weekends. Strong communication and trauma-informed approaches are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in human services or family support is preferred.
• FBI, Child Abuse, and Criminal Background Clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families/youth at the CRC; identify needs and provide support and referrals.
• Serve as the point of contact to families and caregivers as needed.
• Collaborate with CRC staff to advocate for families and provide peer support.
• Maintain professional, compassionate interactions with families and community partners.
• Document services and track outcomes in the EHR system.
