Job summary

NFI Massachusetts Inc. is seeking a Family Specialist/Parent Partner in Worcester, MA for our Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP). The role centers on integrating families into treatment, supporting parent participation, and improving program planning.

This is an on-site, full-time position offering an hourly rate of $24–$27. The Family Specialist will coach families, conduct outreach, attend intake and planning meetings, and help families access community resources and supports,

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a parent of a child involved with social services or DMH systems.
• Ability to schedule flexibly to meet families’ needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families.

Responsibilities

• Engage families through coaching, role modeling and support.
• Outreach to newly involved families.
• Attend intake meetings and support parent/family involvement.
• Help families with applications, resources and supports.
• Assist parents in developing parenting strategies and boundaries.
• Develop and coordinate a Parent Support Group.
• Review policies to include family perspectives.
• Participate in treatment planning and team meetings.
• Engage families in program development and post-discharge follow-up.
