NFI Massachusetts Inc. is seeking a Family Specialist/Parent Partner for our Intensive Residential Treatment Program in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on incorporating families in treatment planning, ensuring their perspectives are represented, and actively engaging them in program development.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and requires lived parenting experience, scheduling flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid driver’s license. Hourly rate is $22-$24.

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience as a parent involved with the social service system.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must possess excellent vision and hearing, and read/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Engage families through coaching, role modeling and lived experience.
• Conduct outreach to newly involved families.
• Attend pre-admission and intake meetings for families.
• Assist families in self-advocacy, resources, and communication with providers.
• Help families develop parenting skills and establish rules/limits.
• Review options for engagement and incentives to support youths.
• Develop, coordinate and facilitate a Parent Support Group.
• Ensure family perspective is represented in program policy and language.
• Participate in treatment team and transitional planning meetings.
• Follow up with families post-discharge.
• Participate in weekly program and staff meetings.
