Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Calumet Park, Evergreen Park, Mt Greenwood, and Blue Island locations. You will lead clinical care with physicians and Medical Assistants, delivering evidence-based care and a superior patient experience across all ages.

You will balance clinical expertise with strong communication, teamwork, and a hospitality-minded approach to patient care, supporting scheduling and weekend/evening coverage.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, DOT physicals, occupational medicine services
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
• Deliver compassionate, efficient care while creating a welcoming environment
• Communicate clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and education
• Collaborate with clinic team and leadership to support operational performance
• Promote teamwork, onboarding and development of new clinical staff
