Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have NCCFNP-approved training as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Must hold a current valid California FNP license.

• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with California laws governing FNP practice and regulations.
• Gather patient histories, perform exams, and initiate treatment plans under supervision.
• Order diagnostic studies and transmit results to supervising physician.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families, and facilitate referrals as needed.
• In absence of the physician, initiate evaluation and emergency treatment when appropriate.
