Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Board certification by ANCC or AANPCB.
- DEA certificate and NPI number.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR.
- Provide emergency care when needed and participate in ongoing education.
