Job summary

RSBCIHI in California seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and urgent care in ambulatory clinic settings. The role covers patients of all ages and requires completing history, exams, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals as indicated.

Candidates must have an MSN or DNP with an accredited FNP program, hold CA RN/NP licenses, CPR certification, and a CA Driver's license. The position includes driving between clinics and travel to RSBCIHI locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing (MSN or DNP) with an accredited FNP program.
• Minimum two years of ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Current California RN and NP licenses and related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical assessments for patients.
• Interprets patient data to diagnose and decide on care and orders tests when needed.
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments and follows up on outcomes.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Implements health care objectives including promotion and disease prevention.
• Adheres to insurance requirements to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Respects Native American cultural values in interactions.
• Works as a team member and supports efficient patient flow in the clinic.
• Participates in staff meetings and implements corrective actions.
• Delivers patient-centered care with appropriate visit lengths and timely documentation.
