Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a qualified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive care within the established standards and protocols. The role includes conducting histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating discharge planning.

Responsibilities include patient management, collaboration with leadership, and ensuring accurate documentation, with work hours from 7a to 7p. Referrals to specialty physicians will be arranged as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is required.
• Refer to Medical Staff Guidelines for applicable certifications and credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts history and physical examination of all assigned patients.
• Manage patients according to Northside Hospital standards and protocols.
• Order treatments, labs, and x-rays as indicated within licensure; call in medications as appropriate.
• Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to assure quality of care and services.
• Document patient information in the computer system/medical chart.
• Adhere to safety policies and report any equipment or safety issues promptly.
