Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to float across New Haven County, based in Hamden, CT. This full-time APRN role offers a supportive team, structured schedules, and strong earning potential with bonus opportunities.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting, performing procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound care, splinting, and foreign body removal.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
• Controlled Substance Registration may be required.
• Certification as an Advanced Practitioner (APRN) is mandatory.
• PALS and ACLS certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all age groups in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Perform common urgent care procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound management, splinting, and foreign body removal.

Qualifications:

• State Medical License
• Controlled Substance Registration
• Certification as an Advanced Practitioner

• A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is preferred.
• Candidates must possess a strong background in performing routine procedures, such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and treatment of orthopedic-related conditions.
• Relevant professional experience required; this position is best suited for candidates with prior experience in the field.
