Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is expanding at the New Canaan facility, seeking an Advanced Practitioner to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualified candidates will hold a State Medical License, CS registration, and PALS/ACLS certification, with 1+ year in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred. Join a respected Yale brand and contribute to community health with flexibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• State Medical License required or eligible for Connecticut licensure
• Controlled Substance Registration required
• Certification as an Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA)
• PALS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of full-time Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Proven proficiency in common urgent care procedures (laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, ortho-related care)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in urgent care setting with emphasis on assessment and care planning
• Perform hands-on clinical procedures (suturing, wound management, emergency interventions)
• Collaborate with specialists and other providers to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of full‑time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is preferred.
• Candidates must possess a strong background in performing routine procedures, such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and treatment of orthopedic‑related conditions.
• Relevant professional experience required; this position is best suited for candidates with prior experience in the field.
