Job summary

Ouzinkie Native Corporation seeks a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive clinical services in a military treatment setting. The role includes supervision, general screening, immunizations, and management of routine, acute and chronic conditions across organ systems.

You will work with physicians to coordinate care, order tests, prescribe medications, and emphasize preventive care. Strong communication, documentation, and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with specialization as a family nurse practitioner.
• Current national certification by ANCC or AANP.
• Active RN license at Advanced Practice level within US jurisdiction.
• Minimum 24 months of outpatient family medicine clinical experience with competency.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS from the American Red Cross.
• Must meet site health screening/immunization requirements.
• Credentialing requirements and background checks must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Treat acute conditions within established protocols and in collaboration with a physician.
• Collaborate with physicians in the care of patients with chronic illnesses.
• Order diagnostic tests as applicable.
• Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by policy.
• Promote preventive and health maintenance care including immunizations.
• Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes in safety and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and ethical guidelines.
