Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (Float) to provide care across Brookfield and Ridgefield centers. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting with strong clinical support and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Licensed practitioner with an active State Medical License.
• Controlled Substance Registration required.
• Certification as an Advanced Practitioner.
• PALS and ACLS certifications are required.
• At least 1 year of full-time Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all age groups in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Perform common urgent care procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound management, splinting, and foreign body removal.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, nursing teams, and specialists to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is preferred.
• Candidates must possess a strong background in performing routine procedures, such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and treatment of orthopedic-related conditions.
• Relevant professional experience required; this position is best suited for candidates with prior experience in the field.
