Wellspring Lutheran Services in Michigan is seeking a Parent Partner to support families navigating child welfare and related systems. Hybrid role leveraging lived experience to empower caregivers, advocate for goals, and connect families with community resources.

You will participate in meetings, share your story in a professional way, and help families build confidence and stability while maintaining boundaries and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have personal experience as a parent or caregiver who was involved with CPS or foster care and completed their case.
• Must not have any current CPS investigations, open CPS cases, or unresolved child safety concerns.
• Willingness to reside within the assigned service area to serve families throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Walk beside families to navigate child welfare, behavioral health, and educational systems with confidence.
• Share your lived experience thoughtfully to reduce isolation and demonstrate positive outcomes.
• Build connections through resource navigation, educational groups, and community engagement.
• Help parents identify strengths, advocate for themselves and their children, and participate in key meetings.
