Job summary

Familyandchildrenservices is seeking a Parent Partner to provide peer-based support, advocacy, and mentoring to caregivers involved in the child welfare system. You will use lived experience to promote engagement, self-efficacy, and protective factors that support child safety and family stability.

Qualifications

• Must have lived parenting experience to share as a learning and engagement tool.
• Ability to build respectful, nonjudgmental relationships with families and partners.
• Willingness to participate in training and certification curricula as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing peer-based support to caregivers via phone, virtual, and face-to-face contact per program requirements.
• Meet and welcome families, building trusting, nonjudgmental relationships.
• Coach parents on child welfare processes, expectations, and self-advocacy.
• Support participation in meetings, hearings, and service planning with families.
• Facilitate engagement strategies and community connections for families.
• Complete accurate case notes and required documentation.
