Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty Physician to join its Graduate Medical Education (GME) team in Lewiston. The Core Faculty member will play a key role in resident education, curriculum development, clinical supervision, and scholarly activity within the Family Medicine Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to medical education and resident mentorship.
• Experience with graduate medical education and teaching residents preferred.
• Interest in curriculum development, research, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical supervision and teaching for Family Medicine residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in didactic teaching, case conferences, and academic curriculum development.
• Maintain an active clinical practice while serving as an educational role model for residents and medical students.
• Supervise residents in continuity clinic and hospital-based patient care.
• Promote evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives within the residency program.
