Prisma Health seeks a BE/BC Family Medicine physician to serve as Associate Program Director for the Greer Family Medicine Residency. The 6-6-6 program emphasizes outpatient and inpatient training, team-based care, and community outreach.

The APD will help teach residents, develop curriculum, and administer the program with dedicated administrative time, while practicing in both inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine at Greer Memorial Hospital and affiliated clinics.

• Experience in teaching residents and curriculum development.
• Ability to administer a residency program and balance inpatient/outpatient duties.

Family Medicine Residency:

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a BE/BC Family Medicine physician to serve as an Associate Program Director for our Greer Family Medicine Residency. The Greer Family Medicine Residency is a 6-6-6 program with an energetic faculty dedicated to training competent, caring, community-oriented family physicians. The residency, started in July 2020, will be welcoming our seventh class of residents this summer. Our curriculum emphasizes both outpatient and inpatient training, encourages team-based approaches to care, fosters community outreach, and prepares doctors for the future of family medicine. Our teaching clinic, located in a beautiful building, has 24 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, a lab, x-ray suite, and residency educational spaces. Our teaching hospital, Greer Memorial Hospital, is an 82-bed acute care facility built in 2008 on the beautiful 135 acre Prisma Health Greer Medical Campus located half-way between Greenville and Spartanburg, SC. Our team is looking for a well-rounded physician with GME experience to work alongside our program director and existing faculty. The APD will play an integral role in teaching residents, developing curriculum, and administering the program. The APD will have dedicated time for residency administration/development and patient care. The APD will need to practice both inpatient and outpatient family medicine.
