Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty Physician (MD/DO) to join an academic outpatient organization in Olney, IL. The role blends direct patient care with teaching and supervision of residents in a busy teaching clinic.

The position supports obstetrics when applicable, with inpatient coverage a few times per year, and involves didactics, curriculum development, and scholarly activities. A strong commitment to community-based care is essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience or strong interest in teaching and resident supervision.
• Comfort practicing the full scope of family medicine, including obstetrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a family medicine continuity clinic.
• Supervise and mentor residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Precept residents regularly, supporting clinical skill development and patient management.
• Participate in clinical sessions with integrated resident supervision (3–4 half-days per week).
• Provide inpatient attending coverage for family medicine services several times per year.
• Perform and supervise family medicine procedures, including obstetrics where applicable.
• Engage in resident education through didactics, curriculum development, and advising.
• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and academic program development.
• Collaborate with faculty, residents, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across preventive, acute, and chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with standards.
