Job summary

Dignity Health's Creighton East Valley Family Medicine Residency in Maricopa, Arizona, seeks a Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to deliver exceptional primary care within a rural/underserved track, with balanced work-life in our Dignity Health Medical Group.

You will teach medical students and residents, cover outpatient and inpatient services, and participate in research; academic appointment at Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix, Open rank based on experience.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine.
• Active or eligible license in Arizona.
• MD or DO degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient and inpatient teaching service coverage.
• Outpatient Monday–Friday with teaching time per ACGME requirements.
• Inpatient coverage weekly with compensation days.
• Average 18–24 patients per day on outpatient days.
• Academic appointment at Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix.
• Teaching medical students, PA students and other learners.
• opportunities to engage in sponsor and investigator-initiated research.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician you will deliver exceptional primary care within our rural/underserved track for Creighton East Valley Family Medicine Residency Program in Maricopa, Arizona. This role offers unparalleled work-life balance within a supportive Dignity Health Medical Group environment.

In this role, you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient + Inpatient teaching service coverage and/or Family Medicine Obstetrics
• Outpatient Mon‑Fri days with dedicated non‑clinical teaching time per ACGME requirements
• Flexibility to work 4 longer days or 5 regular
• Call is 1:4 or less (by telephone only with residents being first call)
• Outpatient: 16 patient‑facing hours, 16 precepting hours, 4 admin hours, 4 teaching hours per week
• Inpatient: Every 4th week or less frequently, 1 week at a time x 7 days with compensation days provided (No outpatient duties during inpatient week or post‑inpatient compensation days)
• Avg 18‑24 patients per day on outpatient days
• Great MA support + RN onsite
• Academic appointment at Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix–Open rank based on prior experience and academic output
• Teaching Medical students, Physician Assistant Students, and other learners.
• Opportunities to get involved in both sponsor and investigator initiated research projects.

• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

Pay Range

$235,000 – $275,000 /year
