Job summary

The University of North Georgia on the Gainesville campus is seeking a Family Literacy Head Tutor (Student Assistant) to support the fall literacy program on Tuesdays.

As Head Tutor, you will tutor participants, recruit and train volunteers, and assist the principal investigators with weekly tasks and setup. This is a part-time, temporary student position requiring enrollment in at least six credit hours.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• Willing to participate and/or facilitate the 8-week Family Literacy Program on Tuesday evenings.
• Willingness to teach and learn.
• Willing to serve in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as tutors in the literacy program.
• Recruit and train student volunteers who will serve as tutors in the Family Literacy Program.
• Assist the program PIs in keeping track of student volunteers and participants.
• Assist the PIs in completing weekly tasks (e.g., photocopying, updating volunteer and participant).
• Assist the program PIs in setting up before the program starts every week and cleaning up afterwards.

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for Head Tutors in the UNG Family Literacy Program. The program will run every Tuesday from September 15th through November 3rd in the fall semester.

Responsibilities
