Job summary

Saint Xavier University is seeking a Student Employment Program Assistant to support the Family Literacy & Digital Empowerment Academy. You will assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering workshops while serving as both instructional aide and administrative support.

The role offers exposure to program coordination, event planning, customer service, teaching support, and educational outreach within a campus setting. Must be a SXU student and eligible for Federal Work-Study.

Qualifications

• Must be a Saint Xavier University student.
• Must be Federal Work-Study eligible.
• Must include a resume and a cover letter.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable using computers and common technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and delivery of family literacy and digital empowerment workshops.
• Serve as an instructional aide during workshops, helping participants navigate technology and complete activities.
• Provide one‑on‑one assistance to participants as needed.
• Support workshop facilitators during presentations and hands‑on activities.
• Prepare workshop materials, handouts, sign‑in sheets, evaluations, and packets.
• Assist with workshop registration and participant communications.
