Job summary
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) invites applications for a Family Liaison to support families navigating behavioral health services in Arizona. The role leverages lived experience to personalize care, guide referrals, and help families understand available options within the community.
The Family Liaison collaborates with CBI teams to connect clients to appropriate resources, supports recovery, and promotes dignity and access to care across facilities in the region.
Qualifications
- Personal lived experience as a family member of someone receiving mental health/substance abuse services.
- Experience working with children and families in a community-based program, preferred.
- Health care related crisis exposure preferred but not required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Utilize personal family experience and CBI resources to personalize care for clients and families.
- Assist clients and families in understanding services, referrals, and recommendations from professionals.
- Navigate current systems of care available in the community to support recovery and connected services.

CBI is the premiere non‑profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting‑edge, nationally recognized, evidence‑based models.
The Family Liaison is an individual who has the personal lived experience of being a family member of a person who is receiving, or has received, mental health and or substance abuse services in crisis and traditional treatment settings and has experienced their own personal recovery as a supportive family member. The Family Liaison uses their own personal experience and the resources provided by CBI to personalize care and assist clients and their families in understanding of services, utilizing referrals and applying recommendations from other professionals, and navigating current systems of care available in their community.
- Highschool diploma or GED required. Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Personal experience of being a family member of a person who is receiving mental health/substance abuse services and having worked on own family’s recovery required.
- Experience working with children and families in a community-based program preferred. Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations preferred but not required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
