Job summary

Haley Stuart Group in River Edge, NJ is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to support 1-2 attorneys in a growing firm. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days from home after a 90-day onboarding period.

Responsibilities include document preparation, e-filing, trial prep, client liaison, calendar management, subpoenas, and meeting yearly billing requirements. Experience in family law and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience supporting attorneys with family law cases
• Excellent communication and client relations skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Highly organized and detail orientated

Responsibilities

• Document preparation, including briefs, pleadings, interrogatories, subpoenas, affidavits, and letters, as well as legal correspondence
• E filing as well as maintaining and updating electronic and hard copy files
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating client meetings, filing motions, and coordinating witnesses.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, including responding to client inquiries throughout the case
• Manage attorney calendars as well as scheduling for client meetings and court appearances
• Deliver or direct the delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties involved in legal actions.
• Meet yearly billing requirements (400 hours if assigned to one attorney, 495 hours if assigned to two).

We currently have an opportunity for a Family-Law Paralegal with a growing law firm in the River Edge, NJ. area ((Zip Code 07661). The Family Law Paralegal will provide support to 1-2 attorneys. Prior experience supporting attorneys with family law cases in a law firm environment is required for this role.
