Qualifications

• 2+ years of paralegal experience; family law preferred.
• Familiarity with New Jersey family court procedures and eCourts filing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with case management software a plus.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

A well-established law firm in Edison, NJ is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its team. This is an onsite role for a detail-oriented paralegal who is comfortable managing a busy caseload and supporting attorneys through every stage of a family law matter.

Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys on divorce, custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and domestic violence matters
• Draft and prepare complaints, answers, motions, certifications, Case Information Statements (CIS), and other pleadings
• Prepare and file documents through eCourts and manage court deadlines and calendars
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial records, discovery, and supporting documentation
• Prepare matrimonial settlement agreements, property settlement agreements, and related documents under attorney supervision
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff professionally and compassionately
• Prepare exhibits and trial binders for hearings, mediations, and early settlement panels
• Maintain organized client files and handle general case administration

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of paralegal experience, with family law experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with New Jersey family court procedures and eCourts filing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000, plus bonus. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
