Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Family Law Paralegal role based in Miami, FL. The Family Law Paralegal will support attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, including petitions, motions, discovery responses, and agreements related to divorce, child custody, support, and other family law matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines. The role involves regular communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, scheduling hearings and appointments, and assisting with document filing and e-filing. The paralegal will also help prepare attorneys for hearings and trials, ensure accurate record-keeping, and contribute to a professional and supportive client experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of family law and general law principles relevant to litigation and court procedures.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
• Strong research skills, including legal research, fact-finding, and the ability to synthesize case information.
• Experience with thorough document review, organization of case files, and management of evidence and exhibits.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, court staff, and opposing counsel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in family law or related practice areas.
• Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.
