Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Family Law Junior Associate in California to support senior attorneys on divorce, custody, and property matters. You will draft pleadings, conduct research, assist with discovery, attend hearings, and serve as second chair on larger cases.

The ideal candidate holds an active California Bar license with 1–3 years of family law or civil litigation experience and seeks a long-term family law career. Hybrid work may be considered after training.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license required.
• 1–3 years of family law or civil litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable onsite during the initial training period and meeting billable-hour targets.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior attorneys on divorce, custody, property division and related matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, correspondence and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and help develop case strategies.
• Attend hearings and assist with case preparation, filings and ongoing litigation.
• Serve as second chair on larger, more complex cases.
• Communicate with clients alongside senior attorneys and provide professional support.
