Duties:
- Handle a variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and property division
- Represent clients in court and make all necessary in-court appearances
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Meet with clients in-person when requested and provide timely legal advice and updates
- Collaborate with paralegals, other attorneys, and staff to ensure efficient case handling
- Attend mediation and settlement conferences to negotiate favorable outcomes
- Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the legal process
- Stay current with legal trends and developments in family law
- Manage other legal duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in family law
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar and in good standing
- Exceptional writing skills (writing samples required)
- Strong verbal communication skills to explain complex legal issues clearly
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent client experiences
- Strong references demonstrating expertise and professionalism
- Experience in Pierce, King, Snohomish, Thurston, Island, and Skagit counties preferred
- Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection and home workstation
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Proven ability to handle various family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and property division
- Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality legal work

- High attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward resolving issues
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills for settlement discussions
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during trial preparation and tight court schedules
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends as necessary to meet urgent matters or case deadlines
