Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC in Tampa, FL, is seeking an attorney with a solid Florida family law background to handle a full caseload with mentorship and support.
You will draft pleadings, negotiate settlements, and advocate at hearings, with a culture that values balance and professional development.
Bonus points for Spanish and mediation certification; the firm offers a competitive salary and generous benefits.
Build a family law practice at a firm that actually supports you. At BPE, you'll handle a full caseload with the backing of a collaborative team, experienced mentors, and the infrastructure to do the work well — not a sink-or-swim environment where you're figuring it out alone. Family law is demanding work. We pair that reality with a culture that takes work-life balance seriously and a firm trip that proves it.

Manage a caseload of family law matters — divorce, child custody, child support, timesharing, and related issues — from intake through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Develop case strategy and deliver practical, grounded legal advice that helps clients navigate difficult moments.
You bring 2+ years of Florida family law experience and are comfortable in a courtroom. You're a strong writer and negotiator who can hold your own in contested matters without losing the human touch — family law clients need an advocate and a steady presence. You manage a busy docket without dropping details. JD from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership in good standing are required.
Bonus points for: Spanish-language ability, mediation certification, or prior solo/small-firm experience running your own cases.
