Job description

Children First Family Law, PC, is looking to hire a full-time family law attorney with at least three years of experience whose values align with our company's mission. Are you a confident, skilled, empathetic, and compassionate attorney dedicated to making a positive impact in family law? Is your priority the well-being of children, and are you committed to supporting families to flourish despite their challenges, much like transforming broken glass into a beautiful stained-glass window? Are you seeking a long-term position for professional growth while genuinely improving family law practices to better serve children? Do you thrive in a collaborative team environment but are also confident managing your caseload independently? Are you adaptable in a dynamic work environment with competing demands? Are you a strong negotiator who advocates effectively for clients while working closely with the team for comprehensive case assessment? Do you possess strong client management skills, knowing when to terminate representation if it no longer aligns with the firm’s mission? Would you rather 'do right' than 'win'? Are you more focused on people and efficiency than on profit? Do you prefer to pursue litigation only when necessary, prioritizing peaceful resolutions outside court? Are you passionate about learning, mentoring, and sharing knowledge to uplift colleagues? Most importantly, are you deeply committed to improving family law with a focus on the well-being of children and families? If you answered 'yes' to all, and meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Handle consultations, oversee cases from start to resolution, coordinate with involved parties, maintain case reports, and ensure accurate documentation and billing.
  • Legal Research and Document Drafting: Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, review discovery materials.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as primary contact, conduct interviews, maintain confidentiality, provide empathetic support, and handle home visits.
  • Litigation: Manage cases through litigation with minimal co-counsel support.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff; participate in meetings; support case strategies and team efforts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of family law experience.
  • Licensed or willing to obtain licensure in Colorado; applicants licensed elsewhere are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, litigation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and a passion for advocating for children and families.
  • Valued attributes include honesty, integrity, humility, intelligence, and dedication.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $125,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage with 50% of premiums covered by the company.
  • PTO and paid holidays.
  • Retirement benefits.
  • Professional development through CLE sponsorships and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Fully remote work environment with in-person options, supporting a healthy work/life balance.
