Responsibilities

• Independently manage a family law caseload while satisfying all legal deadlines.

• Conduct daily communication with clients and convert prospects into active cases.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the paralegal and legal assistant team.
• Utilize legal case management software and execute billing standards.
• Collaborate on complex domestic relations discovery and document analysis.

The Role

The primary practice area for this position is domestic relations. As an attorney with our firm, you will manage a full‑time legal caseload of 50–70 cases. You will work closely with our dedicated support staff, including each legal assistant and paralegal, to ensure clients receive the highest level of service.

• Status: Full‑time (40 hours per week)
• Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Locations: Based in Columbus with travel to Newark and Mount Vernon offices and courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a family law caseload while satisfying all legal deadlines.
• Draft motions, orders, and other pleadings; file documents both electronically and in‑person.
• Represent clients as a lead lawyer at hearings throughout Central Ohio.
• Conduct daily communication with clients and prospective clients, converting prospects into active cases.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the paralegal and legal assistant team to ensure work product excellence.
• Utilize software for legal case management and execute firm billing standards.
• Collaborate with the family law paralegal on complex domestic relations discovery and document analysis.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing in the State of Ohio.
• The preferred lawyer will have significant experience handling domestic relations cases.
• A willingness to practice legal matters in the firm’s other areas of concentration.
• Ability to work with autonomy and minimal supervision.

We are looking for an attorney who wants to grow with the firm. Our partnership track is transparent and achievable:

• Partnership: Can be reached as soon as 8 years for an entry‑level attorney, and sooner for an experienced lawyer.
• Structure: Advancement is based on satisfying reasonable yearly goals.
• Support: Our law firm provides a full administrative suite, including a billing department, a legal assistant, a dedicated family law paralegal, and a remote phone support team for incoming calls.

We offer a competitive base salary plus an annual bonus based on billable hours. Bonuses are expected and consistent as part of our attorney compensation model.

• Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year (Commensurate with experience)
