Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience; family law preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing family law caseload with guidance from senior attorneys.
• Regularly appear in court for hearings and other proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with accuracy.
• Articulate complex legal concepts clearly to clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Develop litigation strategies and prepare cases for hearings and trials.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and timely communication.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff using firm systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing family law caseload with guidance and support from experienced attorneys
• Regularly appear in court for hearings, conferences, evidentiary proceedings, and other litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery, and other legal documents with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Effectively articulate complex legal concepts through strong verbal and written communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Assist in developing litigation strategies and preparing cases for hearings and
• trials
• Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues to support effective case strategies
• Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and clear communication
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff while utilizing the firm’s technology and established systems to efficiently manage cases
• Continue developing courtroom advocacy and trial skills through hands-on experience, feedback, and mentorship

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in Ohio

Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing law in a law firm or relevant legal setting; family law experience preferred

Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and producing high-quality work

Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
