You will work with a paralegal and the managing attorney on ongoing family law matters, focusing on substantive legal work with flexible scheduling and no client acquisition responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of California family law experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California family law statutes and procedures.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting RFOs, motions, and financial disclosures.
• Ability to manage assignments and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with ability to collaborate with attorneys and staff.
• Availability for occasional in-person court appearances in Orange County and surrounding counties preferred.

• Review and analyze Declarations of Disclosure and financial documents.
• Identify deficiencies in disclosures and assist with discovery and meet-and-confer.

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on California family law issues.
• Draft stipulations, settlement agreements, and proposed judgments.
• Coordinate document preparation and case management with paralegal.
• Assist with case strategy and hearing preparation.

Alkam Law, APC is an established family law firm based in Anaheim, California, serving Southern California families since 2002. We are seeking an experienced California family law attorney to join our team on a part-time, primarily remote basis.

This position is ideal for an attorney with strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills who enjoys substantive legal work and prefers a consistent, flexible work arrangement.

The attorney will work closely with a dedicated paralegal and the firm's managing attorney to assist with ongoing family law matters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Draft Requests for Order (RFOs), motions, oppositions, replies, declarations, and other family law pleadings.
• Review and analyze Preliminary and Final Declarations of Disclosure (PDDs/FDDs), including financial documents, asset and debt schedules, and supporting records.
• Identify deficiencies in disclosures and assist with discovery and meet-and-confer efforts.
• Draft and review discovery requests, responses, and motions to compel.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on California family law issues.
• Draft stipulations, settlement agreements, and proposed judgments.
• Work closely with a dedicated paralegal to coordinate document preparation, deadlines, and case management.
• Assist with case strategy and hearing preparation.

• Minimum 3–5 years of California family law experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California family law statutes, court procedures, and disclosure requirements.

• Ability to independently manage assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff.
• Availability for occasional in-person court appearances in Orange County and surrounding counties is preferred.
