Job summary

Alkam Law Offices in Anaheim, CA seeks an experienced California family law attorney for a part-time, primarily remote role. Expect 24 hours per week on Mon, Wed, Fri, with compensation between $100 and $120 per hour based on experience.

You will work with a paralegal and the managing attorney on ongoing family law matters, focusing on substantive legal work with flexible scheduling and no client acquisition responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of California family law experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California family law statutes and procedures.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting RFOs, motions, and financial disclosures.
• Ability to manage assignments and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with ability to collaborate with attorneys and staff.
• Availability for occasional in-person court appearances in Orange County and surrounding counties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft Requests for Order (RFOs), motions, oppositions, replies, declarations, and other family law pleadings.
• Review and analyze Declarations of Disclosure and financial documents.
• Identify deficiencies in disclosures and assist with discovery and meet-and-confer.
• Draft and review discovery requests, responses, and motions to compel.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on California family law issues.
• Draft stipulations, settlement agreements, and proposed judgments.
• Coordinate document preparation and case management with paralegal.
• Assist with case strategy and hearing preparation.
