Qualifikationen

• Two to five years of family law experience with own court appearances and contested hearings.
• Strong writing; submit a writing sample.
• Comfort with financial documents: tax returns, business financials, pay stubs, brokerage statements.
• Willingness to practice in both Colorado and Wyoming.
• Wyoming bar admission or eligibility is a plus but not required.

Aufgaben

• Handle Colorado dissolution, allocation of parental responsibilities, maintenance, child support, modification and enforcement matters from intake through mediation, hearings and trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, sworn financial statements, disclosures, discovery, separation agreements and parenting plans.
• Appear in Denver metro district courts for status conferences, temporary orders hearings and trials (second-chairing and first-chairing as you gain experience).
• Collaborate with experts on business valuation, equity compensation, tax and income for support.
• Support Wyoming family law matters by video after admission, with many appearances.
• Assist on criminal defense matters when needed; growth opportunity into transactional work.
• Communicate directly and promptly with clients; provide direct access to their attorney.
