Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney for a Connecticut firm. You will manage divorce and family law cases, draft pleadings, conduct research, and represent clients in hearings while collaborating with an experienced legal team.

The role requires JD, active CT Bar, and strong litigation and writing skills. This position offers competitive compensation and an emphasis on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Connecticut Bar license required.
• Family law, matrimonial, or relevant civil litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and drafting skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of divorce and family law matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, and related family law issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, negotiations, and other proceedings.
• Manage discovery, including financial and document-intensive matters.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Maintain strong, responsive communication with clients throughout their cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on complex and high-conflict matters.
