Qualifications

• Educate families on insurance benefits and payment options.
• Assist uninsured/underinsured families in exploring third-party and government/commercial coverage.
• Provide accurate patient estimates prior to service.

Responsibilities

• Meet with insured patient's parent/guardian to explain benefits and out-of-pocket amounts; determine family’s ability to pay and review balances.
• Meet with self-pay patients to assess coverage payment options.
• Provide comprehensive plans to cover out-of-pocket costs, including discounts, secondary coverage, and payment plans.
• Document patient accounts and assist with financial assistance packets; track applications in a central repository.
• Collaborate with PC/PCMG departments, payers, and vendors to resolve questions and ensure clarity of liability and options.
