Job summary

NYC Public Schools seeks a Family Support Coordinator (FSC) to develop and implement family engagement strategies across NYCPS. The FSC resolves escalated family concerns and serves as a single entry point for families, ensuring they feel welcomed and respected in their children’s schools.

Reporting to the Community/High School Superintendent, the FSC will provide operational and outreach support, track cases in the P-311 system, and collaborate with district offices to improve customer service

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of community work or related experience.
High school diploma and 6 years of related experience.
Equivalent combination with at least 1 year of the above experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as a single point of contact for all family issues escalated to the district office.
Document all family and school concerns in the P-311 system.
Analyze trends and assist in developing district-wide strategies to address family concerns.
Coordinate communication between families, schools, and the district office.
Represent the district at family meetings, workshops and events.
Collaborate with NYCPS offices to implement initiatives and cross-functional programs.
Track case progress and provide updates to families and the Superintendent.
