Job summary

Community Services for Children in the Lehigh Valley, PA is seeking Family Engagement Partners to join our team. The role implements family engagement services through home visitation, supporting individualized goals, and maximizing family involvement.

The position offers generous benefits, paid time off, and a $500 net probation incentive; bilingual English/Spanish required; 40 hours/week, 45 weeks/year, $20.68/hour.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field
• Knowledge of human behavior and development, health education, and group facilitation
• Commitment to helping relationships and working with low-income families
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills
• Valid driver’s license and full-time use of car, capable of transporting families
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and assist children
• Ability to flex work hours including 1–3 evenings per week and occasional Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Implement comprehensive family development services through home visitation
• Support the individualized goals of family members, building on and supporting strengths, and maximizing family involvement in all program and agency services to support school readiness goals
• Complete Family Assessment and establish a Family Partnership Agreement with each assigned family within 45 days of enrollment
• Guide parents in coordination with teaching staff, by jointly planning, implementing individual and group parent-child experiences to enhance parents’ participation in their child’s educational program, including parent-child activities and visiting the child’s classroom

The Family Engagement Partner implements comprehensive family engagement services in partnership with child development services - through home visitation that supports the individualized goals of family members, building on and supporting strengths, and maximizing family involvement.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills
• Valid driver’s license and full-time use of car, and ability to transport families in private vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs and assist children as needed
• Ability to flex work hours to meet program needs, including being able to work 1-3 evenings per week and occasional Saturdays
