Job summary

Rockwood School District is seeking a Parents As Teachers program specialist to deliver services to families in the district. You will conduct home visits, connect families with resources, and facilitate group connections to support early learning.

You will assess child development, plan and implement the PAT curriculum per state guidelines and the department’s philosophy. Hours are 20–27 per week, with some evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Certification in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Home Economics, Social Work, and/or Counseling preferred.
• Experience working with young children and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to families.
• Provide and connect families with resources.
• Facilitate group connections among families.
• Assess development of young children.
• Plan and effectively implement the PAT curriculum in accordance with state guidelines and the department's philosophy of education.
• Work variable hours, including some nights and weekends.
