Job summary

Piñon Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Family Engagement Coordinator to support and articulate the district’s vision to families and the community, and to oversee district-wide family engagement initiatives.

You will develop communications, coordinate newsletters and the family engagement website, lead FIAT and IEC/PAC meetings, work with schools and the community to foster a culture of involvement, and ensure compliance with Title I requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; effective English and Navajo communication essential.
• Knowledge of Navajo culture preferred; experience in education preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse families and community groups; strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic tech tools for communication and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement family engagement programs across district and schools.
• Develop and publish a monthly newsletter and maintain the family engagement website.
• Provide regular communication with families about events, tips, and opportunities.
• Lead FIAT, IEC, and PAC meetings and report progress to leadership.
• Collaborate with community organizations to promote family engagement and participation.
