Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services is hiring a Full-time Family Coach for the FamilyWorks Program at the Altgeld Gardens' Calumet office in Chicago. The role centers on community-based coaching to help families set and achieve goals using trauma-informed methods.

Starting salary ranges from $44,888 to $45,500 annually, with placement based on skill and experience. Driving to several sites is required; a personal vehicle is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must be able to pass screenings and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families to motivate and inspire goal setting driven by the family.
• Identify strengths and leverage them to build new skills and stability.
• Use trauma-informed practices within family-centered coaching.
• Complete intakes, monitor goals, and provide follow-up progress checks.
• Coordinate region events and address housing, transportation, and childcare needs.
